Islam strongly commanded Muslims to be charitable in order to attain righteousness. Charitable acts do not go unrewarded as whatever is spent as charity never escapes the knowledge of Allah (s.w.t). The return for investment in charity is a great reward which shall be increased in multiple folds with every one ringgit worth of charity yielding seven hundred ringgit in return. This is certainly a huge return on investment. Your charity contribution in this world will also help in promoting and sustaining the welfare of the people through fair distribution of wealth. It is not about the survival of the fittest, but caring for the weak, the deprived, the poor, the destitute, and the needy, among others.

Zakat- Alms Giving

Zakat, for purification and growth of wealth of individual, is obligatory on every abled Muslim to give to those in need.

The alms are only for the poor and the needy, and those who collect them, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and to free the captives and the debtors, and for the cause of Allah, and (for) the wayfarer; a duty imposed by Allah. Allah is Knower, Wise.

Muslims stock of wealth is purified by setting aside a proportion for those in need, and, its growth is like the pruning of plants, the cutting back balances it and encourages new growth.

WAKAF- Islamic Endowment

The Islamic Endowment is a perpetual charity that enables its founder to benefit from a recurring reward after his or her death, for the duration of the useful life of the endowed asset(s). It is narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that;

The messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: when a servant of Allah dies, his/her account of good deeds comes to an end, except three things: perpetual charity (sadaqah jariya), beneficial knowledge or a righteous son/daughter who prays for him/her.
